ROLE DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Head of Retail Banking, the Head of Mass - affluent segment oversees all aspects of Mass - affluent banking activities that service the needs of Mass - affluent clients. Working closely with Head of Branch Banking, Direct Sales Channel and Enablement functions in Operations, Analytics, Risk, HR/Training and Finance, he/she ensures that client relationships are developed and expanded and that the resources of the entire organization are properly leveraged to provide efficient service delivery. The role will refine and implement strategy and objectives that include deposit, loan volume and fee income goals and effective marketing plans to achieve business ambition.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, execute and manage Mass-affluent strategy and tactical business plan, considering the market opportunity/growth potential, competitor activity, existing capabilities and risk appetite, delivering Mass-affluent business goals.
- Develop sales strategy for business leads acquisition working with Branch Banking, Direct Sales, Analytics and marketing teams to ensure Mass-affluent clients are acquired
- Develop comprehensive client value proposition (CVP) for mass-affluent customer segment.
- Develop basic product bundles and solutions dedicated to mass-affluent segment.
- Define and develop a digital and human based sales culture alongside management processes and measures to deliver on the Mass-affluent target growth
- Marketing strategies and tactical campaigns to build and establish a mass-affluent banking proposition and image catering to the needs and desires of Vietnam’s mass-affluent individuals and business owners
- Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develop budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure
- Responsible of leading the Mass-affluent segment team to deliver the 2020 Mass Affluent strategy and its business goals
- Coordinate w Affluent segment team to grow cross-segment customers
- Hiring, training and coaching of sales and service staff serving the mass-affluent segment. Attracting and retaining the right talent to manage mass-affluent clients. Manage sales stimulation activities and responsible for sales support programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate degree from top-tier institution
- Master’s degree qualification will be an added advantage
- 8-10 Years’ Experience in banking, in the areas of mass-affluent segment, product & sales
- 5+ years of managerial experience
- Relationship/People Management Skills, Leadership skills, Effective Communication skills
- Extensive experience in Relationship Management and Affluent and/or Private Banking business
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Deep knowledge and understanding of mass-affluent segment and retail banking.
- Strong knowledge of financial products and services, with a good understanding of local market.
- Good understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements of all products
- Strong experience on retail banking products, especially lending, deposit & cards
- Customer-oriented mindset, appreciate customer journey & experience on how to make a difference
- Digital led business practice
- Dynamic, resourceful and highly achievement-oriented and ability for multi-tasking and dealing with multiple priorities
- Ability to lead teams and interact with top levels of bank management
